Zensar Technologies, a leading global IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services provider, plans to open the first centre of its kind in Poland to be set up by an Indian outsourcing firm, basing its operations in the Polish city of Gdan’sk.
The latest addition to Zensar’s network of consulting and software development centres in USA, UK, Singapore, Tokyo, China, India and South Africa, its Polish centre will create over 350-new jobs for the community in its first 30-months of its operations, and will offer its entire range of Zensar solutions in Eastern Europe.
Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Zensar Technologies says: “We are viewing Poland as a major investment centre for research, education and development, and we are planning to invest over $2-million in developing global delivery capabilities in this country. We are confident that Poland will be a significant hub in our Europe strategy in the coming years.”
As recruitment for the centre gets underway, a team of 23-Polish engineers have been sent to Zensar’s headquarters in Pune for a three-month in-depth training and understanding of the firm’s product suite that will immediately enable them to lead operations back in Poland. Not only will they be asked to further develop their programming skills, they will also learn more complex IT infrastructure design and architecture.
With its European headquarters based in Slough, UK, Zensar employs over 3,700-people across 24-global sites, and has nearly 200-people based in UK and Europe. Declaring its results for fiscal year-ended March 2007 just recently, Zensar has seen a 41% growth in revenues and 67% growth in profits.
