Encore India Launches Shared Services RPO (SSR) for the Staffing Industry Ahead of Staffing World 2007 with a Free Trial Offer

Offshore Outsourcing in the Staffing Industry to grow with Encore India’s new Shared Service Recruitment Support offering.

Outsourced recruitment services provider Encore India announced the launch of its new service aptly termed as “Shared Services RPO” (SSR). Clients that use the SSR service of Encore India, typically would be firms that do not require a full time recruiter in-house. A typical example would be a staffing firm that specializes in Non IT staffing, that may have a few IT positions to work with.Such organizations can now leverage Encore India’s SSR by hiring an experienced Shared Services Recruiter from Encore India. The recruiter is made available part time to clients with access to the tools of the trade (Applicant Tracking System, Job Portals, etc). Companies can not only save on the cost of hiring a recruiter but also save on the cost of Job Portals needed for resume mining. The SSR model includes multiple shared online job boards which by itself are expensive if a staffing firm was to individually sign up for.

Raghu Pokala the CEO of Encore India says, “My experience managing a staffing firm prior to starting Encore India, lead me to believe that there is a market for shared services in the recruiting industry, I personally felt the need for it, due to the high cost of signing up multiple Online Job portals combined with the cost of hiring, training and retaining a full time recruiter during the growing stages of my business. Since Encore India has been providing full time Recruiters and Resume sourcing agents to the Staffing Industry since 2005, SSR is a new initiative which is a result my personal experience combined with the discussions i had with peers in the industry.”

To celebrate the event of Staffing World 2007 and the launch of its new SSR service, Encore India is offering SSR for a 30 Day free trial to members of the American Staffing Association (ASA).

Talent pool to bring in more business for IT firms

Source:economictimes.indiatimes.com

With India becoming the global IT services hub, leading product companies including Oracle, Sun Microsystems, IBM and Microsoft are sharpening their focus on the education sector to promote their technologies and bolster revenues.

These companies are actively forging ties with educational and training institutes to develop a ready-touse talent pool. The partnerships could indirectly bring in more business, say analysts.

The programmes are designed to help companies position their products in the global marketplace. Availability of talent pool could be a differentiating factor in a closely-contested deal.

In a multi-million dollar deal, when a client is selecting a product partner, they will look at market capabilities, mainly the number of professionals who have trained on the product technologies. “With more and more businesses outsourcing their services to India, it is important for major product development companies to create a large techsavvy resource pool here,” said Gartner principal analyst Kamlesh Bhatia.

IBM, for instance, has imparted training on open standards-based technologies to more than 80,000 students across 745 colleges in India in 2006.

“As part of IBM Academic Initiative, we offer workshops and certification programmes on various technologies . The aim is to develop strategic linkages with universities and colleges and to assist them in developing Talent pool,” says Amol Mahamuni, programme director, IBM.

Microsoft India has also partnered with the Board for Information Technology Education Standards (BITES) in Karnataka to address the training needs of students in BITES member institutes.
