Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology in the city has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Keane, Inc. - a US-based IT and outsourcing company - for platinum-level partnership.

According to the MoU, Keane will provide training to the students and teachers of the college and also intake maximum number of graduates from the college, College principal Ashalatha Thampuran said.

“This is the first-time ever that our college has signed an MOU with any company. This is basically a working arrangement between Keane and our college. On our part, we will give priority to Keane during campus recruitment,’’ she said.

Ashalatha Thampuran signed the MoU with Keane Senior Vice-President (India Operations) Raja Sekharan. Mohandas College of Engineering And Technology established in 2002 is one of the 30 institutions where Keane has a Platinum-level partnership.

“Keane has been assertively associating with Platinum partners in the field of education to create and mould people to make them assets for the industry. We are pleased that Keane and Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology have common aspirations, beliefs and values, which have translated into this MOU,” Raja Sekharan said.
